A poem for all!

Well, I wrote a poem. And I'm proud of my work, so I'd like to share it :) enjoy :)

Warm rays of sun, a tanning face
Mouths parched and running at a pace
Eyes set on the horizon valley
No extra time to dilly- dally
A sense of unity and love
Allows us wings, to soar above
Together, family, hand in hand
Thats what it's like in Marching band

The splash of water, chlorine filled
Commitment and tons of self will
Your pounding heart under the surface
It fills your ears with feel and purpose.
The stillness as you're on the block
Your enemy? It's just the clock.
Quick reflexes and blowing steam
That's what it's like on the swim team.

Sunscreen and water are your friends
When sun and heat go to world's end's
A whistle, tube and skills prepared
And water ready for you to stare
Emergency? We got you covered
We'll take care of you just like a brother
The training, work and skills are hard
But that's what you get when you lifeguard

But all these have one thing alike
Whether you're old or just a tyke
You can't do everything alone
Or else your heart will turn to stone
You're given friends, to comfort you
To hold your hand, take care of you
But you must also do these things
Because that's what good friendship brings.

And so my friends, stay true you must
Or else friendships will start to rust
Accept my quest, and have a blast.
Make memories, look back to the past.
